How far away is Colonial Williamsburg?
In just 10 minutes you can travel back to the 18th century! Kingsmill Resort is located just 3 miles from the largest outdoor living museum, Colonial Williamsburg. And to make travel as simple as possible, catch one of the complimentary shuttles offered by Kingsmill Resort to the Visitor Center of Merchant's Square, Williamsburg.

Which airport is closest to Williamsburg / Kingsmill?
The airport of choice is the Richmond International Airport (RIC) for jet service to the Williamsburg area. Ground travel time is just about 1 hour once you arrive at the RIC airport.
Other area airports include: Newport News / Williamsburg (PHF), 13 miles from KM with limited jet service; Norfolk International Airport (ORF), 45 miles from KM but ground travel is less complicated with highway construction and the bridge tunnel and beach traffic (minimum 1 hour 20 minutes).

Is there train service to Williamsburg?
Yes, Amtrak offers limited service to Williamsburg with a daily mid-morning and early evening arrival. The train station is a short 10 minute cab ride from Kingsmill Resort. If you are traveling with the kids, ask the concierge for the Fun Pack to help entertain the kids on the return home!
When is the best time to play golf in Williamsburg at Kingsmill?
Today and just about every day of the year. Spring and Fall are the most popular times of the year, and advance tee time reservations are strongly encouraged. Yet, you can find golfers on the course just about every day of the year. If January and February are windy and brisk, head for the Indoor Golf Academy and continue practicing that swing or take a lesson from one of the PGA instructors.

What family activities are available at night in Williamsburg?
While it might be true that some sidewalks 'roll up' after dark, you will find lots of options for after dark. Take the Ghosts Tour...good for all ages, see a movie in town with a choice from 11 screens, take a spin around the track at Go Carts Plus or practice your putting, experience the charm of Burton Parish Church at a complimentary concert, catch the Dinner Theatre or the show at the Williamsburg Music Theatre. Or, just relax Kingsmill-style poolside, or enjoy your favorite beverage with entertainment at Moody's Tavern or Eagles' Lounge.
